In order to promote international academic exchanges and cooperation in Complex Environments Optoelectronics, the 2022 International Workshop on Optoelectronic Perception (IWOP 2022) has been held online and offline from November 4th to 7th. The workshop was hosted by the International Platform for Optoelectronic Perception Science and Technology in Complex Environments under Complex Environment (OPCE), organized by the School of Physics and the School of Optoelectronic Engineering, and co-organized by the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange. The opening ceremony speech was made by Prof. Zhang Jincheng, Vice President of Xidian University, and the workshop was presided over by Prof. Zhou Huixin, Vice-Dean of the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering. Prof. Guo Lixin, Dean of the School of Physics/Director of 111 Base, together with leaders of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, the School of Physics and the School of Optoelectronic Engineering attended the opening ceremony.

Prof.Steven Gao,University of Kent,UK and other well-known experts and scholars at home and abroad have been invented to make 19 special reports on the research of photoelectric characteristics of complex environment and target, photoelectric information and image processing, and photoelectric detection technology in workshop. Members of the international platformof OPCE, representatives of faculty and students in Xidian University attended the workshop.

The closing ceremony of the workshop was held on November 6th. Reviewed by the academic committee of the workshop, 10 outstanding student papers were selected, and Du Guoshe, Secretary-general of the School of Optoelectronic Engineering, awarded the honorary certificate to the winners. The outstanding workshop volunteers also won a certificate of honor and Huang Junrong, Deputy Secretary of the School of Physics, awarded the certificate to them. In the end, Du Guoshe made a summary of the workshop and The IWOP 2022 was then declared closed.

This workshop is a brand academic conference of the international platform of OPCE. Since its inception in 2017, it has become a platform for Xidian University to attract scholars in optoelectronic perception and to learn about the frontiers of international disciplines. In future, the international platform will stay its commitment to making efforts towards deepening international academic exchanges and promoting the development of both disciplines and talent training. We believe that all these efforts will raise the international profile of Xidian University.
