Objective By comparing the training scale, education mode, training results and employment prospects of medical students in Taiwan and the mainland, this paper tries to find out the disadvantages of our medical education, so as to provide reasonable references for the medical teaching reform in China.Method By means of information retrieval, field investigation and face to face communication with students, the current situation of training for medical students on the Taiwan straits and the mainland is investigated. Several factors are analyzed in depth including the enrollment scale, training program, employment prospect, social evaluation and other indicators of medical students. Result There are many differences in terms of enrollment, training mode, training results, employment prospects and social evaluation between two sides. The students of Taiwan show stronger learning and working ability and have more optimistic employment prospects. Conclusion At present, we still have many problems in our medical student training, such as low admission threshold, large number of students, unreasonable training mode, etc. It does not suit to the basic requirements of building a well-off society in an all-round way and the healthy China strategy in the new era. We believe that we have the ability to find a new way about medical personnel training system suitable for China's national conditions through deepening educational reform.
