长期从事用户体验评估方面的研究。在沉浸式媒体（如虚拟现实、全景视频）用户体验评估方面，提出了多项开创性的评估方法，处国际领先水平，部分核心技术已经成功被国际标准和国内团体标准采纳。针对360全景视频、3DoF+视频以及光场等新型媒体的相关技术和算法研究。另外，还对视频用户的行为、心理等方面做相关研究。
