Professor
Mainly engaged in research in the fields of image/video processing, encoding and transmission, chip design and high performance computing. He has presided over and completed the National Natural Science Foundation's major research projects, surface projects, international cooperation and exchange projects, and the spectral image compression project in Mars Exploration. As a key member, he participated in many national research projects, such as major national special projects, lunar exploration projects and manned spaceflight. . As a core member, China's first aerospace-grade image compression chip "Yaxin-Tiantu" was developed. The chip has been thoroughly evaluated by the end user unit of the mapping satellite, and the performance is considered to be superior to the current international standard image compression algorithm. The chip has been applied to the development of high-resolution Earth observation satellites and a new generation of mapping satellites.
