Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the list of on-site performance for the 6th National College Student Art Exhibition. The performance of the Xidian University Student Symphony Orchestra Qin Chuan Shu Huai and the performance of the University Student Choir Qin Chuan Yao were successfully selected, and will represent Shaanxi in early May this year to participate in the national on-site performance in Chengdu. A total of 7 art performance works in Shaanxi Province were selected this time, and Xidian ranked first among universities in the province. In 2018, Xidian won the first prize of the 5th National College Student Art Exhibition for the first time, and the number of works selected this year reached a new high.

Student Symphony Orchestra

The 6th National College Student Art Exhibition is held by the Ministry of Education and has two stages of provincial exhibition and national exhibition. Xidian performed very well in previous provincial competition, and won a total of 30 awards, including 4 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 2 third prizes, 3 outstanding original works awards, 1 outstanding organization award, and 15 outstanding instructor awards. The number of awards Xidian won ranked first among universities in the province.

Student Choir

In 2018, Student Symphony Orchestra of Xidian University won the first prize of the 5th National College Student Art Exhibition for the first time. According to statistics, since the establishment of the Student Symphony Orchestra and the Student Choir, more than 1,000 students have been trained, nearly 100 works have been rehearsed, and more than 100,000 people have enjoyed their performance.
