From October 28th to 30th,2020, the delegation of "Experience Wuhan--- A City of Heroes Journey" composed of 40 Chinese and international students of Xidian University had a Wuhan journey to experience China's past and current battle against COVID-19 and the heroic efforts by this epicentral city of Heroes.

On the morning of October 28th, the delegation arrived at Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University, which has made great contributions to the fight against COVID-19. The delegation listened to the medical workers’ report about the anti-epidemic work. The frontline doctors and nursery director shared their stories with the delegation.

On the afternoon of the 28th, the delegation arrived at “Wuhan Parlor” to visit the "People First, Life First Exhibition on Fighting COVID-19". This is the first time that the exhibition hall has had a delegation with international students. The students of Xidian University reviewed the efforts made by all sectors of Chinese society in the fight against COVID-19. The display of various themes in the exhibition hall fully demonstrates the great strength of the Chinese people in uniting as one.

In the next two days, the delegation visited Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and Central China Normal University. The delegation had discussions and exchanges with teachers and students of the three universities, and listened to the inspiring and real stories of Wuhan's universities working together to prevent and control the epidemic in a scientific and precise way.

During their stay in Wuhan, the delegation also visited Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (YOFC) for the whole process. As the world's largest manufacturer of the optical fiber and cable products, YOFC has overcome numerous difficulties and took the lead in resuming manufacturing and production. It has made outstanding contributions to ensuring the global supply and demonstrating the global responsibility of Chinese companies.

YSMAIL ADAM ABDELKHADIR, a graduate student from Chad, said that he hardly believed that Wuhan, which suffered a major disaster a few months ago, could be so dynamic and orderly. Seeing is believing. He would tell his family and friends about what he has seen in China, so that they can understand what Wuhan and China has experienced. He believes that in the face of the epidemic, people of all ages, genders and nationalities should participate in fighting against the epidemic together, because we are in a "community with a shared future for mankind". He thanked the Chinese government and people for sharing their anti-epidemic experience selflessly with the world, and hoped that other countries could learn from it so as to handle the epidemic as soon as possible.
Rwandan graduate student INEMA ELYSE said, "Through communicating with students from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and Central China Normal University, I have met many outstanding friends of different grades, schools, and nationalities. They shared their experiences during the epidemic. I also exchanged a lot of puzzles about learning with them. By visiting YOFC, I learned about the development of Chinese companies. I hope that I could have the opportunity to work in some Chinese enterprises in our country in the future, so as to give play to my strong points and cross-cultural communication ability, and contribute to the construction of my home country."
