In the afternoon on October 22, 2020, the opening ceremony of the 2020 international students of Xidian University was successfully held at the south Campus. Yang Zhang, Vice Dean of School of International Education and teachers attended the conference with more than 150 students from 26 countries.
Yang Zhang extended a warm welcome to the 2020 freshmen. He hoped that the students could adapt to the new environment as soon as possible, cherish time, study hard and contribute to the construction and development of their countries in the future. Professor Ling Qin introduced the training of preparatory students and language students, and encouraged them to learn more about Chinese history and culture while studying Chinese, and communicate more with Chinese friends.

RUBINSHTEYN RENATA from Ukraine and MABANDZA RANDOL MARDOCHE from the Republic of Congo delivered speeches on behalf of the 2020 freshmen. RUBINSHTEYN RENATA said: "Entering university means that we have entered a new stage of life. We have to challenge ourselves every day, and to be passionate about knowledge, practice and innovation, to make every day meaningful.” MABANDZA RANDOL MARDOCHE said: “As young students, we must not only study knowledge, but also broaden our horizons, communicate with outstanding young people from all over the world, learn from each other, and make progress together!”
