From August 29th to 30th, the International Conference on Advanced Materials for Energy and Information Technology (AMEIT 2020), which was initiated and chaired by well-known experts such as Academician Hao Yue, was successfully held at Xidian University. Twenty-six well-known professors and experts from Asia, Europe, North America, and Australia gave wonderful speeches, and the number of participants reached 20,400. Affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, this conference adopted online forms to provide a platform for international exchanges. It promoted in-depth exchange and integration among basic academic disciplines in energy field, the development of clean energy in the future and further advanced innovation in energy information and material research.
At the opening ceremony, Vice President and Professor Guangming Shi extended a warm welcome to the guests from home and abroad who participated in the conference on behalf of Xidian University. He introduced Xidian and its advantageous disciplines, fully affirmed the results achieved by the materials science discipline relying on the advantages of Xidian information science, featuring multidisciplinary research, focusing on the integration of energy, information and materials, and put forward new expectations.
The conference invited a number of guests in the fields of energy, information and materials to deliver keynote speeches, reporting the latest developments in related research and the challenges they are facing. This conference was organized by the Division of International Cooperation and Exchanges, the School of Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology, and the Academy of Advanced Interdisciplinary Research, and was hosted by Professor Rusen Yang from the School of Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology.
This conference was held under the increasingly severe situation of global energy and environmental problems. New energy, new materials and information industries have larger space for development and the integration of these three sectors has become a strategic emerging industry in recent years. The development of related energy information and material technology has received extensive attention. It provided a multidisciplinary academic exchange platform for scholars engaged in research of energy, information and materials, and promoted the exchange and sharing of the latest results of cutting-edge research in related fields.
