In the 2020 Chinese College Students' Computer Design Competition of Northwestern Region, a total of 41 works of Xidian University have been awarded, and the quantity of awards ranks the forefront of participating universities, including 19 first prizes, 12 second-grade prizes and 10 third-grade prizes. At the same time, Xidian University has won theExcellent Organization Awardfor consecutive six years.

This year, more than 70 teams from Xidian University signed up for the competition, and the works covered different categories, such as software application and development, micro-classes and teaching aids, internet application, big data, artificial intelligence, information visualization design, digital media animation and micro-film (professional group), digital media game and interaction design (professional group), computer music creation (professional group), etc. After the selection of the university, 42 works were recommended to participate in the competition of Northwest Region.In the end, 41 works passed the preliminary examination and entered into the final round successfully.

Affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, the competition was conducted online this year. Students overcame difficulties and prepared materials and recorded videos carefully for the competition. Instructors guided students online in spite of their busy schedule. With the joint efforts of students and instructors, excellent results have been achieved.

At present, 14 outstanding works have been recommended to compete in the national competition.
