On August 29, 2019, a delegation led by Mr. Robert Emond, Counsellor of Science, Technology and Innovation at the Embassy of Canada to China, visited Xidian University. Dr. Hao Chen, Director General of Division of International Cooperation and Exchanges met the delegation, and representatives of the relevant units attended the meeting.

Hao Chen expressed his welcome to the delegation and gave an introduction to Xidian University. He hoped to establish more collaborations with Canadian universities through this visit. Mr. Robert Emond said that they intended to expand communication with Xidian University and promote exchanges between China and Canada. He said he would try his best to build a bridge for the further cooperation between Xidian University and Canadian universities.
