2019 ACES (International Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society) conference was held in Nanjing, China during August 8-11.The grand conference was hosted by the ACES Institute and Nanjing University of Science and Technology, jointly organized by many other universities, research institutes and enterprises.

Professor Liang Changhong won the “Outstanding Achievement Award” for his outstanding contributions in the calculation of microwave, nonlinear electromagnetics and microwave network theory. Professor Liang received this honor at the awards dinner on the evening of August 10. The grand conference was hosted by the ACES Institution and Nanjing University of Science and Technology, jointly organized by universities, research institutes and enterprises. Professor Liang Changhong won the “Outstanding Achievement Award” for his contributions in the calculation of microwave, nonlinear electromagnetics and microwave network theory. He received this honor on the evening of August 10.

Professor Liang Changhong has been engaged in cutting-edge research in the field of microwave and electromagnetic. He visited Syracuse University as a scholar in the United States from 1980 to 1982. And from 1992 to 2002, he was the president of XidianUniversity, having won awards such as "National Outstanding Contribution Experts", "National People's Teacher Medal" and "First National Teaching Teacher". During his decades of research and teaching, he has always been rigorous and well received by previous students. In addition, the “Microwave Technology Foundation” taught by him was evaluated the first-class course in China. He has won more than ten provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological achievement and teaching awards. Prof. Liang has published more than ten books, and "Computational Microwave" won the National Excellent Teaching Materials Award (1988). In 2013, the lecture "Spirit of Science and Methodology" was selected as"Excellent Video Open Class" by the Ministry of Education.

This "Outstanding Achievement Award" is not only an affirmation of his outstanding contribution to academics and teaching, but also an encouragement for more young scholars to constantly strive for progress, innovation and advancement!
