Between May 25th to 27th, the 39th College Students Track and Field Meet of Shaanxi Province, hosted by Shaanxi Provincial Education Department and organized by Shaanxi Students Sports Association and Xi'an Physical Education University, was held at Xi'an Physical Education University. With tenacious struggling, the athletes from Xidian University won 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals and 7 bronze medals, and ranked fourth in the men’ s team event and eighth in the men’ s and women’ s team contest.

The large-scale college students’ track and field meet attracted more than 1900 people from 86 universities throughout Shaanxi province. Led by coaches Qiao Xiaoshan and Yang Guobiao, 13 athletes from Xidian University interpreted the sports spirit of “Learn in Xidian, move in Xidian.” with excellent results.
