On July 17, Science and Technology Award Meeting of Shaanxi Province was held in Xi’an. Before then, Shaanxi Provincial Government released theDecision of Shaanxi Provincial Government on 2019 Science and Technology Awards of Shaanxi Province, of which,Research on Matching Measurement of Harmonious Development of Road Traffic Based on Spatial Distribution and Economycompleted under the lead of Associate Professor Yu Jiangxia in the School of Economics and Management won the third prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award.
Guided by the comprehensive traffic planning, to stimulate the regional economic take-off, the project led by Yu Jiangxia mainly carriedoutresearch on the spatial development theory and matching evaluation method of regional traffic and economic development, and built a series of theories and methods to mine the correlativity and interaction mechanism between these two, to provide theoretical support for the development direction and investment decision-making of road traffic construction.
Research achievements of the project is of great significance for the development problem diagnosis, construction evaluation and scale prediction of regional road network, the road traffic construction planning and even the comprehensive transport planning, and has important social benefit to the social progress, convenience of people’s life and social and economic development.
The School of Economics and Management has always, with the slogan of “god rewards the diligent, and to be tolerant to diversity”, encouraged the teachers to take a diligent and pragmatic attitude to the academic affairs and cultivated the talents in various ways with an attitude to select talents according to different attitudes. Since its establishment 40 years ago, over 20 scientific research platforms have been founded by virtue of the School, to allow full play to theXDU-SEM“gold idea” intelligence, and show theXDU-SEM“brand” for the regional economic development and social progress. At forty, the School, at its own way, will carry on aiming at “three orientations” such as the frontier of world science and technology, main economic battlefield and major national demand, constantly exert the potential of think tank consultation, and highlight its undertaking and sense of responsibility to serve the country and society.
Introduction to Yu Jiangxia:
Yu Jiangxia, associate professor, doctor, master tutor, and member of both the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and the China Society of Logistics, serves as the evaluation (by letters) expert in the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the evaluation expert in the Degree Center of Ministry of Education.
In recent years, Yu has published over twenty academic papers around the traffic planning and management, harmonious development of traffic system and economy, social system optimization analysis and other contents in the domestic and foreign journals. She has successively presided the projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Humanities and Social Sciences Foundation of Ministry of Education, the Natural Science Foundation of Shaanxi Province and the Social Science Foundation of Shaanxi Province, as well as the Shaanxi Provincial Major Theoretical and Realistic Problem Research Project, the Xi’an Science and Technology Planning Project, the Fundamental Research Funds for Xidian University and other project researches, and also participated in multiple provincial and ministerial-level science and technology projects and crossing project researches of enterprises, among which relevant research achievements have been popularized and applied to certain degree.
