(Correspondents:Guo Ning and Ma Yuankai) In order to deepen the understanding of university teachers, students and scientific and technical personnel on industrial engineering expertise,streng then their innovation consciousness and improvement consciousness, promote the educational and teaching reform of industrial engineering courses, deepen the understanding of industrial engineering in enterprises and society, and promote the in-depth application of industrial engineering in enterprises, according to the national and social requirem ents for innovative talents, the launching ceremony of the 11thShaanxi Industrial Engineering Improvement Creativity Competition and expert forum were successfully held in the School of Economics and Management of Xidian University on August 29. This forum was held simultaneously online and offline. Nearly 200 teachers and students from universities across the country attended the forum, talking about cutting-edge issues and sharing academic achievements.
The launching ceremony was chaired by Chen Xi from the School of Economics and Management of Xidian University. Jing Weixuan,the Vice Chairman and Secretary General of Shaanxi Institute of Mechanical Engineering, delivered a speech as the sponsor, and Chai Jian,the Assistant Dean of the School of Economics and Management of Xidian University, delivered a speech as the organizer.
In delivering a speech,Jing Weixuan reviewed the development history of Shaanxi Industrial Engineering Improvement Creativity Competition in more than a decade,and affirmed the role of this competition in stimulating the development of disciplines and specialties, teaching reform in provinces,cities and universities,personnel training, etc.He pointed out that after more than ten years' development,the Competition has established a road of creative development participated jointly by universities and enterprises,cooperated by associations and held by universities and enterprises in turns, which has become a brand competition in the field of industrial engineering in Shaanxi and all over China.
In delivering a speech,Chai Jian affirmed the contribution and significance of competition to training of students, introduced the development process of industrial engineering in Xidian University, and expressed a wish that scholars from all peer universities in China could provide support for the development of industrial engineering.He also wished the 11thIndustrial Engineering Improvement Creativity Competition a complete success.

Professor Qin Xiansheng,the Chairman of Industrial Engineering and Management Branch of Shaanxi Institute of Mechanical Engineering, delivered a speech as the leader in charge, and Professor Zhao Xiaohui,the Deputy Director of Office of Academic Affairs of Xi'an Polytechnic University, delivered a speech on behalf of universities. Professor Li Yan,the Director of Office of Academic Affairs of Xi'an Technological University, read out the rules and procedures of the 11thShaanxi Industrial Engineering Improvement Creativity Competition. Xu Guoqiang, the Head of Big Data Application Department of Shaanxi Tianxingjian Internet of Vehicles Information Technology Co., Ltd. released the creativity application topics of the competition.
After the launching ceremony, an expert forum was held.Professors from well known universities gave speeches on the topics of Localization of Industrial Engineering and Lean Management,Innovation and Development of Industrial Engineering in the New Era,Study on Key Issues in Research and Development of Collaborative Manufacturing Platform for Customized Production Network of Complex Heavy Equipment,Integrated Circuit Industry with Most Application Prospects and Technical Challenges,and Challenges of the Unprecedented Changes in One Hundred Years to Industrial Engineering respectively. Their speeches were made by combining theory with practice and explaining profound theories in simple language,systematically and thoroughly,not only showinga brand-new academic point of view,full of deep patriotism,but also expressing deep expectations for young students and researchers.The wonderful academic seminar was well received by leaders, experts and teachers and students attending the meeting, which aroused thorough thinking and deep resonance among experts, scholars, teachers and students in the field of industrial engineering,and laida solid foundation for the smooth development of this competition.
The 11th Shaanxi Industrial Engineering Improvement Creativity Competition was hosted by Xidian University,guided by Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and Creative China Design Confederation, organized by Shaanxi Institute of Mechanical Engineering and co-organized by Industrial Engineering and Management Branch of Shaanxi Institute of Mechanical Engineering.The Competition got the great support from universities across China,as well as from industry players, such as Shaanxi Blower (Group) Co., Ltd., Xi'an Aero-Engine Group Ltd., Shaanxi Automobile Holding Group Co., Ltd., etc.
