|APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS|
All applicants shall be foreign citizens with valid foreign passports, healthy and meeting the "Health Examination Standards for Foreign Students in China" promulgated by the state; shall abide by Chinese laws and regulations as well as the rules and regulations of Xidian University; and shall honor the social morality and customs in China. In addition, specific requirements for different programs on the applicants are as follows:
1.Bachelor's Degree Program
1) Aged 18 or older, high school graduates or those with certificate of equivalent education.
2) Candidates who apply to be taught in English shall have attained generally-accepted international English proficiency level of IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL 75 or the equivalent level of English required by his/her own country(must be approved by Xidian University); and students who apply to be taught in Chinese shall have attained HSK level 4 at least. Those who are not able to meet the requirements can apply for Chinese language training at Xidian Universityand pass HSK test.
2. Master's and Doctoral Degree Programs
1) Master’s degree candidates shall have bachelor's degree or equivalent diploma certificate.
2) Doctoral degree candidates shall have master's degree or equivalent diploma certificate;
3) Candidates who apply to be taught in English shall have attained generally-accepted international English proficiency level of IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL 75 or the equivalent level of English required by his/her own country; and students who apply to be taught in Chinese shall have attained HSK level 4 at least. Those who are not able to meet the requirements can apply for Chinese language training at Xidian Universityand pass HSK test.
3. Non-degree Programs
Aged 18-60, with high school education or above.

Applicants are required to register and apply online through Xidian University's International Student Service System at https://xidian.17gz.org/, and shall upload the following documents:
1. Bachelor's Degree Program
1) Notarized certificate of the highest education attained. Texts in any language other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by notarized translation in Chinese or English. Current Students are required to submit a certificate of study issued by their current school.
2) Academic transcript. Texts in any language other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by notarized translation in Chinese or English.
3) Copy of valid passport (valid in two years or longer).
4) Chinese or English proficiency certificate.
5)Physical Examination Record for Foreigner. It is valid for six months since the date of issue.
6) Non-criminal record certificate. If the certificate is in language other than Chinese, a notarized Chinese or English translation is also required. The content of the certificate shall indicate the validity period; and if there is no validity period, the certificate shall be valid within six months since the date of issue.
7) Resume.
8) Personal statement or study plan.
9) Financial Support Letter (required for self-sponsored applicants).
10) Other supporting materials, such as recommendation letters, award certificates, paper publication certificates, etc.
11) Bank receipt of application fee payment (RMB 600 yuan).

10)Conditional Acceptance Letterof Xidian University. Candidates are recommended to contact the supervisor of Xidian University in advance and provide conditional acceptance letter as one of application documents. So that we can give priority of designating supervisor to students who meet the admission requirements.
11) Financial Support Letter (required for self-sponsored applicants).
12) Other supporting materials, such as award certificates, paper publication certificates, etc.
13) Bank receipt of application fee payment (RMB 600 yuan).
3. Non-degree Program

3. Accommodation fee
Xidian University provides a variety of standard student dormitories, and costs range from RMB 5,000 to 15,000 per year.
4. Living expenses: RMB 50 per person per day (for reference only) based on the price and living consumption level of Xi'an.
5. Medical insurance: RMB 800 per person per year
