Xidian University News Network (Correspondent: Zhao Hongwei) On the morning of December 2, 2020, the parallel session of School of Cyber Engineering for "the 5thHuashan Young Scholars International Forum" of Xidian University was successfully held in the conference room on the first floor of Administrative Annex Building of the South Campus. Six excellent domestic and overseas young scholars from Israel, USA, Canada, Australia, etc., attended the forum via the online and offline combined method. More than 100 staffs in total, including the School leaders, principals of various disciplinary teams, and representatives of teachers and postgraduate students, attended the Forum.
Dean Li Hui extended a warm welcome to all the excellent young scholars who attended the Forum. He introduced to all scholars the University's Huashan Scholar Talent System, the School's construction and development conditions, and the School's talent work features and achievements. He emphasized the School's talent concepts and measures of "Aggregation of Talents, Meritocracy, Urgent Need of Talents, Respect for Talents and Diversified Development".
According to the University's arrangement, he displayed the strategic measures, reform ideas and construction achievements during the process of the University accelerating the construction of "Double First-Class" through a video; the School focused on the display of its significant works and performances carried out during the first-class cyber security schools in recent years, facing the global technical frontier, economic main battlefield, and the national significant demand. In addition, the School also deeply analyzed five projects implemented by the construction of "First-class School", namely, "Excellent Talent Project", "Talent Aggregation Project", "International Interconnection Project" and "Pioneering and Supporting Project", and described the mid-and-long-term planning blueprint of the School's construction, reform and development.
Afterwards, six young scholars carried out the incisive academic exchanges separately regarding theChaotic Map-based Quantum Image Encryption Algorithm,Multi-media Information Security,Security Data Analysis and User Privacy in Mobile Crowd Sensing,Crypt-analysis of Grade I Matrix Public Key Cryptosystem,Rowhammer Attacks and Defenses,Robust Positioning Patternsand other topics.
The School has successively held five parallel sessions of "Huashan Young Scholars International Forum". Excellent domestic and overseas young scholars have deepened their understanding about the University and the School through the Forum. Until now, the School has already successively introduced 5 excellent overseas talents, which plays a significant role in expanding the School's influence, propagandizing its talent policy and recruiting the excellent talents. Domestic & overseas excellent scholars and the School's teachers & students have benefited a lot from the Forum's academic exchanges. They further broadened their horizons, enlightened their minds, strengthened the exchanges, and jointly contributed to enabling the cyberspace security discipline of our University to face the global technical frontier, and continuously improving the academic level.
